I support youth ages 16+ and adults who are survivors of experiences in development, whether they were isolated or re-occurring, such that they may have affected attachment styles.
Although experiences may be the causes or “roots” of challenges, I consider both them and their “branches” or effects.
Challenges may be:
Individual
– anxiety
– depression
– grief
Relational
– avoidance
– poor communication
– trauma bonding
Societal
– cultural conflict
– discrimination
– oppression
Roots may include:
– abandonment
– abuse (emotional, physical, sexual, narcissistic)
– betrayal
– bullying
– life transitions
– loss
– neglect
– separation
– trauma
Branches may include:
– an inability to trust
– low self-esteem
– sleep difficulties
